Unable to Find/Connect to “GW_AP_xxx” Network

1. Unable to Find the “GW_AP_xxx” Network

After resetting the camera, you should see the “GW_AP_xxx” network appear in your Wi-Fi settings. If you cannot locate the “GW_AP_xxx” network, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  • Turn off the camera and remove the sd card.
  • Power the camera back on and press the reset button for more than 3 seconds until you hear a prompt sound.
  • If the hotspot still doesn’t appear after multiple attempts, please contact the camera seller for further assistance.

2. Unable to Connect to the “GW_AP_xxx” Network

This issue often occurs when the “GW_AP_xxx” network is connected directly to the camera instead of your router’s Wi-Fi. The “GW_AP_xxx” network is a pairing signal for the camera and does not provide internet access.

  • In your phone’s Wi-Fi settings, forget the “GW” network and try reconnecting.
  • Restart your phone, or try using a different phone. Also, try resetting the camera and attempt the connection again.

Notes:

  • The “GW_AP_xxx” network is generated by the camera itself and does not have internet access. It is used exclusively for adding the camera.
  • Do not rename your home Wi-Fi network to something similar to “GW_AP_xxx,” as this will interfere with the camera-adding process.
