How to use the standalone mode for monitoring with a Wi-Fi camera?

Functional Features

  • Suitable for environments without external networks (no Wi-Fi).
  • Supports SD card recording, close-range monitoring, and alarm beeping.
  • Does not support push notifications.

Pre-Operation Preparation

  • Ensure the mobile phone has “Location Services” enabled.
  • Grant “Yoosee” App the location permission.
    • Note: Location permission is used to assist the phone and camera in connecting to Wi-Fi and determining if the App enters single-machine mode during the addition process.

Permission Grant Steps

  1. Enter the mobile phone’s system settings.
  2. Search for and enable “Location Services.”
  3. Find Yoosee in the App permissions, and set “Location Information” to “Allow.”

Camera Preparation and Connection Steps

I. Camera Operations

  1. Connect the camera to the power source.
  2. Wait for the camera to emit a “du-du” sound for network pairing.
    1. If there’s no response, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, and retry after hearing a “di” sound.

II. Mobile Phone Connection Operations

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi or enable mobile data, and open the Yoosee App.
  2. Go to the mobile phone’s system settings and select WLan / Wi-Fi.
  3. Connect to the camera’s hotspot GW_AP_XXXXX”(no password required).
  4. After successfully connecting, return to the App.
  5. Wait for the automatic connection and enter the monitoring interface.
    1. If it does not redirect, ensure the mobile phone’s “Location” function is enabled and the App is granted location permission.

Precautions

  • Keep the mobile phone within 5 meters of the camera to ensure communication; single-machine mode does not support remote monitoring.
  • Power outages may cause time discrepancies in the camera, which will automatically synchronize after reconnection.
  • 4G cameras do not support single-machine mode.

Exiting Single-Machine Mode

  • Method 1: Disconnect the mobile phone from the “GW_AP_XXXXX” Wi-Fi connection.
  • Method 2: Press and hold the camera’s reset button for more than 5 seconds to reset the camera.
